The book, unfolded:
Before the book is folded, sewn and bound, it is printed on large sheets of paper. Every sheet is examined and approved by the artist and book designer before the printing takes place. The sheets are printed on both sides, and reflect the story of the book production: Rear Window has 160 pages. Each section of the book is 16 pages. One printed sheet has 16 pages on each side. Each sheet is cut and folded into two sections, sewn through the folds with sewing thread securing each section to the one bound before it. In the end a cover is made and attached to the book block.
