The paint looks alive, wet and murky and reproductive, as if the painting itself is churning out new expressions.

Anna-Eva Bergman

Anna-Eva Bergman (1909–1987) was a pioneer in Norwegian painting and printmaking. The artist used metal foils and shiny silver to create an illusion of light in her prints and paintings. Inspired by her work we have used paper qualities with metallic shimmer for endpapers and cover image. This book is a fully cloth-covered collector's edition.

Essay by art historian Hilde Mørch: Anna-Eva Bergman. An endless calm and peaceful place lies out beyond the stars and space.
